Overview
Metro is studying more transit options in LA, including a proposed new Metro Rail station near 6th Street. If funded and built, this project would add a stop to the Metro B Line (Red) and/or D Line (Purple) to serve the Arts District, Boyle Heights and surrounding communities.
Status
As part of the environmental review process, Metro is preparing an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for this project, funded by the City of Los Angeles. The scoping comment period for this project took place in 2021.
As we continue to study the project, we will provide an update on more opportunities for public engagement as they become available, including the release of the Draft EIR and public hearings.
Funding beyond the EIR has not been identified and the project does not have a construction or open date.
