D Line Subway Extension Project – Section 3
As one of LA’s busiest areas, the city’s Westside is the region’s second-largest job center. With two new stations – Westwood/UCLA and Westwood/VA Hospital -Section 3 of the Westside Metro Purple (D) Line Extension Subway Transit Project will provide the public access to busy work centers and social and entertainment venues from downtown LA to the Westside.

This new station will offer a reliable transportation option to the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center and the surrounding campus, with connections to the Westside and its surrounding areas.

Status
Section 3 of the Purple (D Line) extension began construction in 2019. This project is slated to open for service in 2027.
