Transportation Career Academy Program
Thank you for your interest in the Transportation Career Academy Program (TCAP). The TCAP application will be available February 10th, 2025 – March 14th, 2025.
Discover Careers in Transportation
TCAP provides summer internship opportunities to current junior and seniors (class of 2025 and 2026), who depend on transit, reside in LA County, live in close proximity of a Metro rail station and whose schools are located near Metro’s rail expansion efforts. This program offers students an opportunity to learn about careers in transportation and how to apply classroom theories and concepts to “real-world” work situations at one of the nation’s largest public transportation agencies.
What to Expect
- Mandatory in-person training sessions convene each Friday of the program’s duration from 8:30am – 3:30pm in Downtown Los Angeles.
- The program commences with orientation on Friday, June 20, 2025, and student interns will present their final project presentations on the last day of the program – Friday, August 1, 2025
- Mandatory project team virtual sessions will convene at least twice a week from Monday through Thursday at 10am – 12pm or 1pm – 3pm for the seven weeks. Additional days will be determined by your project leader.
