Florence Av Bus Priority Lanes Project
The Florence Av Bus Priority Lanes Project is an important step toward building a safer and faster multi-modal transit network in Los Angeles. Located along a 5.4-mile segment of Florence Av, between West Bl and the Florence A Line (Blue) Station, the project would add bus priority lanes in both directions for Metro Line 111 during weekday peak hours from 7–9am and 4–7pm.

The Florence Av Bus Priority Lanes Project will help create safer and faster multimodal transit options in LA. For 5.4 miles on Florence Av, between West Bl and the Florence A Line Station, the project would add bus priority lanes in both directions for Metro Line 111 during weekday peak hours from 7 to 9 am and 4 to 7 pm.
- Buses will run every seven to eight minutes during bus lane hours
- Two general traffic lanes and left turn lanes would be maintained in each direction
- The weekday No Parking restriction from Central Av to the Florence A Line Station will be updated to align with the existing City of LA No Parking restriction hours of 7 to 9 am and 4 to 7 pm
Status
The Traffic Analysis on Florence Av was conducted in 2021. Final Design Plans for the Florence Av Bus Priority Lanes are now in review. Metro anticipates implementation in 2024. Metro post on The Source.
