Metro’s plan for less congestion includes improvements to the SR-91 corridor between Central Avenue and Acacia Court. This Early Action Project is part of the I-605 Hot Spots Program and will create Collector-Distributor Road parallel to SR-91 to reduce merge and diverge conflict movements, which would allow more room and timer to enter and exit the freeway. The project also includes complete street improvements for pedestrians and bicyclists to enable safe use and support mobility.
Status
The environmental phase was completed in August 2021. The Final Design (PS&E) phase is expected to be completed Spring 2025.
