Equal Employment Opportunity
Metro’s Equal Employment Opportunity department (EEO) carries out Metro’s commitment to equality in employment opportunity and access to transportation services.
EEO develops and administers Metro policies and programs that protect Metro employees, contractors and the public from discrimination, harassment and retaliation.
EEO monitors Metro’s compliance with federal, California and local nondiscrimination requirements and conducts neutral internal investigations into alleged discrimination and harassment by Metro employees based on protected classifications including:
- Race
- Color
- National origin
- Religion
- Sex
- Age (40 & over)
- Physical disability or medical condition
- Pregnancy (including childbirth)
- Mental disability
- Ancestry
- Marital status
- Sexual orientation
- Gender identity or expression
- Military or veteran status
- Genetic information
- Reproductive health decision-making
EEO also investigates alleged sexual harassment and complaints of retaliation based on participation in an EEO investigation or other protected activities.

Complaint Submissions
If you believe you have experienced discrimination, harassment or retaliation by a member of Metro’s
workforce, you may submit a complaint for EEO’s review.
Metro employees should contact EEO directly regarding any such complaint.
Non-employees may submit a complaint by completing and submitting an online Customer Comment Form or completing a Civil Rights Complaint Form and submitting it to EEO by mail or email.
