Your voice is vital in keeping our Metro system safe. If you witness suspicious or unsafe activity, please report it immediately.
Report an Emergency
Urgent Medical Care
- Someone collapses or is unconscious.
- A person is having a seizure, severe allergic reaction, or difficulty breathing.
- There is a visible injury or significant bleeding.
Criminal Activity
- You witness violence or a physical altercation.
- Someone is displaying a weapon or threatening others.
- Theft, assault, or harassment that is escalating or dangerous.
Safety Hazards
- A fire, smoke, or explosion.
- A person on the tracks or any behavior that could endanger lives.
- Suspicious packages or items that appear to be a potential threat.
Disturbances
- Severe disruption that endangers passengers (e.g., someone violently attacking or threatening passengers or the driver).
Accidents or Collisions
- The bus or train is involved in an accident with injuries.
- A vehicle crash involving public transit.
In these type of emergencies:
- Call 911
- Use one of 1,222 Station Call Boxes and Phones
- Press the Emergency Call Buttons on Bus or Train
Report a Conduct Violation
It’s important to alert Metro to non-emergency situations that make being on our system feel unsafe or unpleasant.
- Someone being disruptive but not violent.
- Minor vandalism or littering.
- Smoking, drugs, alcohol use, or other misconduct.
- Homeless individuals seeking shelter without posing a threat.
