Traffic Reduction Study

Metro is refining the concept design for these potential pricing areas based on modeling results and public feedback.  

• Santa Monica Mountains – Pricing on the I-405, US-101 and I-5, and multiple canyon arterial roads between the I-405 and US-101.   
• DTLA – Pricing on surface streets and the DTLA freeway ring. 
• I-10 – Pricing on I-10 between DTLA and the western terminus of the freeway in Santa Monica.   

 We are evaluating the feedback we gathered during our outreach and engagement period throughout the Fall/Winter 2023 on the three primary study areas. We have been able to reach thousands of community members across the County through in-person and virtual community meetings, presentations, partnerships with community-based organizations, and English and Spanish language surveys posted on our project website that received more than 1000 responses.  

 As a result of the input we have received, we plan to conduct further analysis   regarding the types of improvements that people would like to see funded in these areas, such as bus-only lanes, Metro station upgrades, and bicycle and pedestrian improvements. We anticipate another set of community meetings to share those results.
