Status
Metro is seeking exemption from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under Senate Bill 922, which supports active transportation projects like Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).
Metro is currently reviewing and summarizing the public comments received during the comment period that concluded in December 2024.
In early 2025, Metro staff will seek approval and authorization from the Metro Board of Directors to exempt this project from CEQA and approve the project based on the three required reports under SB 922 that have been prepared:
1. Racial Equity Analysis
2. Residential Displacement
3. Business Case
The Board will also consider approval of the Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA) which identifies as side-running BRT.
